"Yo creo que es compatible, pero tampoco quiero perjudicar a Ricky Rubio. Es un buen chaval y no quiero crearle problemas, porque no se lo merece. Él tiene su profesión, lo ha fichado un buen equipo de baloncesto y se debe respetar. Dudo que le hayan invitado a que se de de baja", ha señalado.
Sánchez Llibre ha realizado estas declaraciones después de una información aparecida en el rotativo 'El 9' en la que se asegura que el Barcelona ha invitado a Ricky Rubio a dejar de ser socio del Espanyol.
"No he visto la noticia, pero no creo que sea cierta", ha manifestado. "No veo el problema. Todos sabemos que es perico y que siempre ha sido perico, es su sentimiento. No me lo creo y lo encuentro raro, pero que cada uno haga lo que quiera. Los sentimientos no se pueden cambiar", ha comentado.
El presidente blanquiazul ha señalado que "una cosa es el profesionalismo y otra cosa el sentimiento que pueda tener". "Quizá yo tengo un hijo muy perico y ficha por el Zaragoza o por otro club, pero no dejará de ser perico", ha concluido.

BARCELONA.- El Regal Barcelona ha negado rotundamente haber pedido o insinuado a Ricky Rubio, fichado este verano procedente del DKV Joventut tras un largo 'culebrón', que deje de ser socio del RCD Espanyol.
Según publica un periódico deportivo (El 9) en un artículo de opinión, el base de El Masnou podría haber sido "invitado" por parte del Barcelona a abandonar el club blanquiazul para "evitar problemas".
"No es verdad. Rotundamente no", afirmó el club blaugrana en declaraciones a Europa Press. Así pues, "nunca" se le pediría que dejara de ser socio blanquiazul y, en cualquier caso, sería "decisión del jugador" por considerar, desde el Barça, que es "un tema personal".
Por su parte, el presidente del RCD Espanyol, Daniel Sánchez Llibre, aseguró en rueda de prensa que pese a desconocer la información, "no" se la creía. "A partir de aquí lo dudo mucho que el Barça le haya dicho que le invita a darse de baja. No me lo creo porque tampoco lleva a ningún sitio", espetó.
El máximo dirigente del Espanyol argumentó que si fuera el caso, no tendría nada que ver la profesionalidad con los sentimientos. "Puede ser que haya alguien muy 'perico' y sea buen futbolista, y que quiera fichar por otro club, y no deja de ser 'perico'. Una cosa es la profesión de cada jugador y otra el sentimiento", añadió. Como conclusión, citó una frase que para él resume el caso. "Puedes cambiar de casa y de todo, pero no de los sentimientos que puedas tener por un club", manifestó.
